Looking for something relatively inexpensive to round out a meal and increase its rib-sticking qualities? Check out this fast and easy creamy salsa dip. With just three ingredients, it doesn’t get much easier than this.
You’ll need a package of cream cheese (we tested with ALDI brand), a 14-or-so ounce can of diced tomatoes and chilies, and some garlic powder. You can also use salsa instead of diced tomatoes. Want to include a dash of hot sauce? Use your imagination!
Simply heat everything in a pan and whisk until smooth. Use a lower temperature to avoid scorching. You could also choose to salt it, but our chips were plenty salty to the taste.
This is great as an accompaniment to tex-mex or pizza. You could also add in some mashed, cooked beans for a more substantial main course.
What’s on the menu:
Ready-to-bake pizza
Packaged organic herb salad
Store-bought salad dressing
Organic blue corn chips
Creamy salsa dip
Fresh rainier cherries

This three-ingredient recipe sounds like a keeper, I think I will try it with a dash of Tabasco.
